Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2021-22 Travel Soccer Season are now complete. If you missed tryouts but would still like to play travel soccer, please contact Flo Vidano at vicepresident@sharonsoccer.org .

Tryout Schedule

Attendance both tryout days is highly encouraged but not mandatory.

  • Grade 3/4 Boys (u10b) June 7 & 9, 4:00 - 5:00

  • Grade 5/6 Boys (u12b) June 7 & 9, 5:15 - 6:15

  • Grade 7/8 Boys (u14b) June 7 & 9, 6:30 - 7:30


  • Grade 3/4 Girls (u10g) June 8 & 10, 4:00 - 5:00

  • Grade 5/6 Girls (u12g) June 8 & 10, 5:15 - 6:15

  • Grade 7/8 Girls (u14g) June 8 & 10, 6:30 - 7:30

Note - You should register your child for the 2021/22 season based on the grade that they will be entering in September 2021.

Player Information

  • Tryouts will be conducted consistent with applicable COVID requirements in effect at the time of the tryouts, including (if applicable) wearing masks.

  • Be prepared to play scrimmages during the tryout process. The tryout process is exclusively scrimmage based (no stand-alone drills).

  • Wear comfortable sports clothing and a top with no number. A numbered pinnie will be provided to the player for both sessions.

  • Shin guards are mandatory.

  • Players should bring a soccer ball and water.

  • Soccer cleats are encouraged.

  • Mouth guards are optional

  • No jewelry is allowed during play

Parent / Guardian Information

  • Parent and guardian presence will be permitted based on applicable COVID requirements in effect at the time of the tryouts, including (if applicable) wearing masks.

  • Parents and guardians are strictly prohibited from coaching their children (e.g. yelling "pass", "shoot", "mark-up", "work harder", etc...) during the tryout. Parents and guardians who are unable to refrain from coaching their children will be asked to return to their vehicle.

  • Parents and guardians are not allowed inside the fenced in fields.
